Funny and unique Wi-Fi names. Been there, done that, you may be thinking. And I totally get it. After all, we’ve been reading all sorts of Wi-Fi names over the years. Some of them truly creative. Many of them bordering on fail levels – if not that.
Recently, though a BBC entry caught my eye. With the use of the label “passive-aggressive”, how can you ignore the entry? It basically takes a look at the “rise” of the passive-aggressive Wi-Fi names. I am not too sure about the use of the word “rise”, as I think the trend has been going on for quite some time, now, but it sure inspired me to take a look at the Wi-Fi names that have been shared online.
I give you your Friday time waster – Wi-Fi names that are passive-aggressive, funny, and fail.
Disclaimer: I have been tempted to use a Wi-Fi name of this sort but have settled for a rather boring one – Infinite Loop.
This screenshot from the BBC is a motherlode of all sorts of Wi-Fi names. “Icanhearyouhavingsex” is perhaps one of the most popular names used, although I don’t know if using it actually makes a difference.
“Dont_Use_My_Internet” is more aggressive than anything else, I think, but with proper encryption, it should not be a problem, should it?
“Beat it [insert derogatory word here]!” is even rawer, though.
And, if you move furniture at night, you just might feel a tad bad about doing that. Or not!
Here’s a bunch of mixed Wi-Fi names, mixed because some are fails and some are only short of brilliant.
I think the exchange about grammar is the best of the lot. What do you think?
This one, I suppose it’s justified. I mean, flamingos? (I am assuming it’s the fake kind that some people use in conjunction with garden gnomes.)
The first one in this image just gave me inspiration for my parents’ network.
To be sure, there are loads more of Wi-Fi names that will definitely get the attention of anyone trying to find a signal. Some are NSFW, though, so I’ve chosen to leave them out for the sake of those of you who are trying to get through Friday. Now, do you have any screenshots of Wi-Fi names that scream “Screencap me, and share me on the Internet!”?
