Are you using Friendfeed? I hope you do. It’s the next best thing to using Twitter and Facebook for sharing and communicating with your online contacts. In fact, Friendfeed loyalists might even say that Friendfeed is better than both Facebook and Twitter. But that depends on individual preferences though. Anyway Friendfeed has just added several themes to make your profile livelier. There are actually six new themes which you can choose to use on your profile. Make that a total of seven if you can the default Friendfeed theme. All six new themes were carefull designed by Friendfeed developers, making sure that it captures the diversity of Friendfeed users’ tastes.
Applying new themes won’t affect your Friendfeed’s main stream areas. It will maintain its original white background. This blends well with some of the themes while at the same won’t look good with the other themes. So, use your best judgement as to which theme suits your taste.
Friendfeed has also clarified some issues that might come up regarding these new themes. One, is that the themes you choose for your profile will not be visible to your contacts. Your profile will be displayed at their end with the theme they used on their own profiles. And two, unlike Twitter wherein you can upload your own picture and use it a s your profile’s theme, Friendfeed has not enabled this feature yet. But it’s in the roadmap says the Friendfeed folks.
So, which of the six themes did you use on your Friendfeed profile? If you want to add me on your Friendfeed contacts, feel free to do and would gladly add you in mine. http://friendfeed.com/aczafra.
