What was the first storage device you ever used? I guess the most accurate answer for me would be the 5 1/4 floppy disk. If you’re really young, you probably have no idea what I’m talking about, but Google it. It will do you some good.
Anyhow, data storage has always been a big thing, even when the Internet was totally different from how he know it today. From the punch cards and magnetic tapes of the old days, we now have USB sticks of all shapes and sizes, not to mention cloud storage.
And of course, what more humorous way to take a look at all these types of data storage than to inject a little bit of Star Trek into the scenario?

Non-Star Trek fans may be a little befuddled, but Lt. Commander Data is perhaps one of the most loved Star Trek characters. The favorite android (not Apple’s competitor) of many a kid growing up decades ago, it seemed that Data was forever in a limbo with regard to human emotion/interaction. The conflicts he faced and his lack of human connection were perhaps what gave him the charm.
