The Amusement Washing Machine Will Make Laundry FUN
I dislike doing household chores. Who doesn’t, really? I do love to cook and do it practically everyday without any issues but when it comes to doing the dishes, I balk. And when it comes to doing laundry. Man, let’s not even talk about that!
With the invention of Lee Wei Chen, an MA student from Kingston University, though, laundry time just might take on a whole new hue. The invention is a washing machine that incorporates the most fun thing in the world for many people – arcade games. Think about it, when you were a kid, how much did you look forward to spending an hour (or two) playing arcade games? Even now, as a grown up, your eyes still probably light up at the prospect of being able to go to the arcade and let your hair down, so to speak. The Evolution of Famous Logos
It doesn’t take a marketing and branding expert to realize the importance of logos. After all, the average consumer knows just how a good logo can make you associate it with a particular brand. Case in point: anyone who sees that ubiquitous apple (the fruit) with a chunk bitten off knows just what company it stands for.
I sure don’t know much about creating logos, but I came across this funny slash interesting post at Stock Logos ((Stock Logos Web Site)) about how the logos of famous companies have evolved over the years. AND how they just might evolve in the years to come. That is the funny part. [Read more…] about The Evolution of Famous Logos
Meet Schäuble Junior, Robot With 360-degree Video Camera
It’s not everyday that you get to hear about a robot that is all-seeing, do you? This is one of those things that we can describe as the stuff that science fiction is all about. Except that this is NOT science fiction. It is real life, and it is happening now.
Schäuble Junior is a robot that has 9 eyes. Well, he may not be a robot in the sense of being a sentient being, or even a semi-sentient being, but Schäuble Junior is nothing but impressive.
I stumbled upon this creation at Codeninja ((Codeninja’s web site)), where Schäuble Junior is described as:
“multifuncional servo controlled camera array with 9 pan/tiltable cameras, one overhead 360° camera for calibration purposes, 9 microphones, 4 line lasers, pwm-controlled ir-led illumination, speaker with amplifier, arduino controlled, heavily modified 2*4+6 usb port switch” [Read more…] about Meet Schäuble Junior, Robot With 360-degree Video Camera
New World Record Set For Largest Daleks Collection
I have only recently really gotten into Doctor Who, in spite of the fact that I have been reading and writing about the show for a while. One of my resolutions for this year, in fact, is to finally start watching the TV series which has got everyone (at least in my circle) hooked. Unsurprisingly, a single episode was enough to get me. I can now say that I am into the Doctor. So much so that I can go on a Doctor Who marathon without succumbing to sleep or other activities, but not so much that I have Doctor Who collectibles. (I have to admit that his current companion, Amy Pond also makes the show a lot more interesting.) [Read more…] about New World Record Set For Largest Daleks Collection
Lamborghini Aventador LP 700-4 Model More Expensive Than the Real Thing
How much would you pay for a car? Not just any car, mind you, a super car that you would not want to drive on the road every day. Lamborghini has long been a major player in the auto world, but they might just have been given a run for their money by model car maker Robert Gülpen.
