What are the best shows to binge-watch this spring? There are hundreds of shows and multiple platforms to choose from, it’s overwhelming. We have chosen eight good ones for you to check out.
There is much to await this year, new shows and new seasons of great shows from 2021. Here are some of the best shows to binge-watch this spring 2022:
Anatomy of a Scandal
Based on a book series of the same name, it is a thriller drama about how a prominent man’s perfect life is turned upside-down by a scandal. There are so many twists and turns in the plot that you will always be on the edge of your seat. Truly a great binge-worthy show. This show is available on Netflix.
Bridgerton
Of course, we have this British period drama with a dramatic modern twist, Bridgerton. If you are a sucker for romance and drama, with a sprinkle of intense scandal on the side, this series is for you. It is currently on its second season, and if you haven’t watched the first one, the best time to do so is now. This series is available on Netflix.
The Great
It is not your ordinary period drama, it is more of a satirical take on history with a modern flare. The actors and the set are all *almost* accurate with the period. But we see characters talking and behaving as we do. The Great is set in Golden Age Russia (badly) chronicling the life of Catherine The Great. We say badly because the show is not based on history AT ALL (thus their “genre-bending” and “anti-historical” description of the show). The major timeline and characters are there, but the show is the writers’ comedic take on what they think happens to the day-to-day lives of these people. The best part of it all – the show is hilarious! This show is available on Hulu.
Hanna
A story about how a young girl, raised in the forest, discovers she is being traced by a CIA agent. The plot takes us all on the journey in her discovery of her true identity. Scheme-y and twisty – the storyline just hooks your attention like no other. It’s one of the best TV shows to binge-watch right now.
Marvelous Mrs. Maisel
A period comedy-drama, this show gives us an empowering view of what it takes for a woman to live a not-so-usual career as a stand-up comedian in 1950s New York. If you haven’t watched any of its seasons yet, this is probably a good comedy show to binge watch for spring.
Reacher
Just released in February of 2022, Reacher is an American crime thriller series that will keep you on the edge of your seat after every episode. It is surely one of the great new TV shows to binge on if you’re up for it. Mystery, conspiracy theories, and action – this show has it all.
RuPaul’s Drag Race
Every glamorous episode is binge-worthy. Each week, contestants are given different challenges filled with glitter, glitz, and glam. This American reality competition show will keep you on your hooked to your seats.
Tokyo Vice
A captivating and gripping crime series, Tokyo Vice is a mash-up of the famous 1980s show, Miami Vice. Although not as hip as the original show, Tokyo Vice proves to be as enthralling as the first one. It is a binge-worthy show to watch. This show is available on HBO Max.
Undone
A revolutionary story about a girl trying to solve her dad’s death by trying to travel back in time. It received a 98% Tomatometer rating from Rotten Tomatoes, a tough feat to achieve. It’s absolutely a great watch, and it’s animated too. So, it’s not the usual time-travel stories we see on TV. It’s just so sad, though, that it already ended in one season.
Upload
Imagine being able to choose how to “live” one’s afterlife after death? What impresses us most about Upload is the fact that it covers pretty much all genres we love. Although it is pure comedy, it has drama, suspense, and science fiction on the side too. Upload is a cool and quirky futuristic show that is worth to binge-watch.
The Wheel of Time
An epic fantasy series that will compel you with the story of how a group of people who can wield “magic” saves the world from evil forces. It is based on a series of novels of the same name.
